It should be relatively close to production ready. There might be edge cases that haven’t been covered in this tutorial, and as with any code you find on the internet (and write), you should test it thoroughly.

Keep in mind the code in this blog post was not written for production, but for demonstration, but it should be pretty safe. It relies on google to do the heavy lifting (creating tokens, verifying tokens).
