Good read. Ive been thinking about doing the same thing. Not with arch, but definitely a Linux distro.

Nowadays, i dont see why people only using their computer for light browsing and writing the occational word document needs a Windows install.

If we need an Office suite, we can use Google suite or libre Office. No point in paying and supporting the Microsoft monopoly if we dont need their products for a specific use case.

Im a developer, and I dont like the way Microsoft has been doing things over the years. However I am using VS code as my prefered editor because it is the best product on the marked. Not because they forced it on me, as they do with other products.
